Definitions & Explanations:
CFM: Cubic feet per minute - the measure of air flow.
BTU: British Thermal Unit - which is the quantity of heat required to raise the temperature of 1 pound of water 1 degree Fahrenheit.

Ductboard: A type of Fiberglass board used in construction duct.
Flexible Duct:  A type of air duct that is constructed from a flexible core that is typically wrapped with a thin layer of fiberglass insulation.

Galvanizing: It is a nickel/zinc coating applied to sheet metal to retard the oxidation process. (commonly known as rusting)
Air Flow Characteristics: Different temperature air has predictable characteristics: Warmer air always rises and cooler air always falls.
Condensor:  A heat exchanger designed to liquefy refrigerant vapor by removal of heat. This is typically the unit that sits outside your house.
A-Coil: A device that is used by the Condensor for heat removal. This typically sits on top of your furnace.
Humidity: Is the amount of water suspended in the air.
Hot Water Heat: A method of using hot water to provide heat for an area, typically by heating water with an appliance called a boiler and then distributing the heat by pumping the hot water through radiators that pull the heat from the water and then radiate that heat into an area.
Air Handler: A blower or fan used for the purpose of distributing supply air to a room, space or area.
Heat Exchanger: A device that transfers heat from one medium to another.
